About the Role:
We are looking for a competent and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to support our construction projects both on-site and from the office. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in managing building construction and interior works, along with strong capabilities in estimation, costing, and vendor coordination. This is a hybrid role requiring flexibility to work at the office or at the project site, depending on the phase and demands of the project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Project Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations across multiple construction sites.
- Monitor and supervise on-site activities to ensure quality, safety, and timely completion of works.
- Prepare and verify cost estimates, BOQs, and bills for both contractors and clients.
- Coordinate with site engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and office staff for seamless project execution.
- Maintain a strong understanding of all aspects of building construction and interior works, including:
- Civil structures
- Wooden work and joinery
- Wall paneling and partitions
- False ceiling installation
- Plumbing and sanitary works
- Electrical layouts and fittings
- HVAC installation and ducting
- Billing
- Research materials and items mentioned in BOQs, source competitive vendors, and assist with procurement activities.
- Ensure compliance with design specifications, construction drawings, and quality standards.
- Track project progress, update reports, and flag any delays or issues to senior management.
- Assist with contract management, material planning, and resource scheduling.
- 4–6 years of relevant experience in construction project supervision and site coordination, including billing.
- Proven expertise in building construction and interior fit-out works.
- Sound knowledge of estimation, costing, billing, and vendor negotiation.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, MS Excel, project tracking software, and documentation practices.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Flexible to work from both site and office as required.
Work Environment: The role requires physical presence at the site during active construction stages and office-based coordination during planning, procurement, or documentation phases. Candidates must be adaptable and proactive.
