Job Description
Job Title: PLC Proposal Engineer
Department: Engineering
Location: E-128, Sector -63, Noida, (U.P.)-201301
Experience: 0-2 Yrs
Qualification: Diploma / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering
Job Summary : PLC Proposal Engineer responsible for preparing technical and commercial proposals for PLC/SCADA automation projects, including system selection, BOQ preparation, costing support, vendor coordination, and client clarifications.
- Study and analyze RFQs, tenders, and client specifications for PLC/SCADA automation projects
- Understand process requirements, I/O count, control philosophy, and system scope
- Design PLC/SCADA system architecture and select suitable hardware and software
- Finalize PLC, HMI, SCADA, VFD, and networking make & model as per client-approved vendors
- Prepare BOQ/BOM, cost estimates, and technical compliance statements
- Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors for technical details, pricing, and delivery timelines
- Prepare technical proposals, system descriptions, block diagrams, and datasheets
- Support preparation of commercial proposals, price schedules, and bid submissions
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and respond to technical clarifications
- Identify technical risks, assumptions, deviations, and exclusions in proposals
- Propose value engineering and cost optimization solutions
- Ensure proposals meet quality standards, timelines, and client requirements
- Support handover to execution team after order receipt
Key Skills Required :
- Strong knowledge of PLC, SCADA, HMI, industrial networking
- Understanding of control systems & instrumentation
- Costing and BOQ preparation skills
- Excellent documentation and communication
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, basic AutoCAD / EPLAN
Preferred Candidate:
- Ability to prepare BOQ/BOM, cost estimates, and technical compliance documents.
- Experience in tender/RFQ analysis and proposal preparation
- Ability to work under tight bid deadlines
- Strong knowledge of PLC, HMI, SCADA systems and industrial control panels
- Familiarity with Siemens / Allen-Bradley / Schneider / Mitsubishi / ABB PLCs
