Job Description

Product Vision & Roadmap 

1. Define and maintain the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with business needs, regulatory compliance, and market trends. 
2. Drive end-to-end product lifecycle management, from ideation to release and beyond. 
3. Translate complex business requirements into actionable user stories, ensuring clarity and feasibility for engineering teams. 

 

Functional & Domain Leadership 

1. Leverage deep banking domain expertise to guide technical and business teams on Deposits, Payments, General Ledger Operations, and Compliance. 
2. Contribute to defining functional and non-functional requirements, ensuring high availability, performance, and security of banking applications. 
3. Mentor teams in understanding banking processes, business rules, and customer journeys. 

 

Stakeholder Collaboration & Business Enablement 

1. Work closely with business teams, product managers, architects, and engineering teams to ensure seamless product development and delivery. 
2. Act as a functional expert, guiding teams on Core Banking best practices, regulatory considerations, and customer needs. 
3. Engage with external and internal stakeholders to prioritize and refine product backlog. 

 

Agile Delivery & Execution 

1. Collaborate with Agile teams to refine, prioritize, and deliver features using Agile methodologies. 
2. Define Acceptance Criteria, MVP definitions, and work with teams to optimize delivery. 
3. Support governance of product teams to ensure quality, compliance, and efficiency. 

 

Cloud-Native & SaaS-Based Banking Solutions (Good to Have) 

1. Exposure to Cloud-Native Banking and SaaS-based Core Banking Solutions, with an understanding of multi-tenant architectures and how they impact financial product design. 
2. Define API-driven banking experiences and integrate Open API specifications for seamless financial services delivery. 
3. Work with DevSecOps teams to ensure efficient deployment pipelines for banking solutions. 

 

Total Experience Expected: 11-15 years

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related technical/business field. 
2. 13+ years of overall experience, with 8+ years in business and functional leadership roles within Core Banking. 
3. Proven experience delivering banking solutions from concept to production, ensuring scalability, compliance, and security. 
4. Deep functional expertise in Core Banking (Deposits & Savings, CASA, Interest Calculations, General Ledger, Clearing & Settlement, Reconciliations, Regulatory Compliance, and Financial Workflows). 
5. Strong understanding of customer journeys and business workflows in Core Banking. 
6. Experience working as an SME or Functional Expert on a Core Banking System (CBS).
