Job Description – IT Business Development Manager

Job Title: IT Business Development Manager – Web & Software Services

Max IT Solutions is looking for an experienced and result-driven IT Sales Manager with strong exposure to web and software technologies, global IT sales, lead-generation tools, and bidding platforms. The role involves owning the complete sales cycle, driving revenue growth, managing key client relationships, and mentoring the sales team.



Key Responsibilities

1. IT Sales & Business Development

  • Drive sales for IT services including web development, software development, APIs, cloud solutions, SaaS, and digital products
  • Identify and convert new business opportunities through inbound, outbound, and strategic channels
  • Manage the end-to-end sales lifecycle: lead generation → requirement analysis → proposal → negotiation → closure
  • Achieve assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets



2. Lead Generation, Sales Tools & CRM

  • Use modern sales intelligence and prospecting tools such as:
  • Apollo.io
  • ZoomInfo
  • LinkedIn Sales Navigator
  • Email automation and CRM platforms (HubSpot, Zoho, Salesforce, or similar)
  • Build, maintain, and track a healthy sales pipeline
  • Qualify leads and focus on high-value opportunities
  • Collaborate with marketing teams for inbound and performance campaigns



3. Bidding Platforms & Marketplace Sales

  • Generate IT projects through global bidding platforms including:
  • Upwork
  • Toptal
  • Fiverr (Pro / Business)
  • Identify relevant projects and prepare customized, high-conversion proposals
  • Coordinate with technical teams for scope, pricing, timelines, and feasibility
  • Handle platform communication, negotiations, and deal closures
  • Convert platform clients into long-term and repeat business accounts



4. Technical Understanding & Solution Selling

  • Working knowledge of modern development stacks, including:
  • HTML, CSS, PHP, SQL, Laravel, Python, Node.js, React.js, MongoDB, Wordpress, Shopify, Flutter , AI Tools
  • Translate business requirements into solution-oriented technical proposals
  • Participate in technical discussions, solution presentations, and client demos
  • Align technical feasibility with commercial objectives and delivery timelines



5. Client Relationship Management

  • Build and manage long-term relationships with domestic and international clients
  • Act as a single point of contact for key accounts
  • Handle pricing discussions, contracts, renewals, and upselling
  • Ensure client satisfaction, retention, and repeat business



6. Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Mentor and guide junior sales executives and BDEs
  • Work closely with development, project management, and marketing teams
  • Review proposals, cost estimates, and delivery plans
  • Track team performance and report key sales metrics to management



Required Skills & Qualifications

Sales & Domain Expertise

  • Proven experience in IT services and solution sales
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and deal-closing skills
  • Experience selling custom software, web applications, APIs, and SaaS solutions

Tools & Platforms

  • Hands-on experience with:
  • Apollo.io
  • ZoomInfo
  • LinkedIn Sales Navigator
  • CRM tools (HubSpot, Zoho, Salesforce, or similar)
  • Practical experience with IT project bidding platforms

Communication & Leadership

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong stakeholder management and leadership capabilities
  • Strategic, target-driven, and performance-oriented mindset



Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or a related field
  • 5–10 years of experience in IT sales or technology consulting
  • Experience working with international clients (India, USA, UK, UAE, Australia) is an advantage
