Job Description
- Key Responsibilities: Identify, develop, and manage new business opportunities in the General Insurance and SME segment.
- Generate leads through networking, referrals, cold calls, and partnerships with intermediaries or corporate clients.
- Achieve assigned sales and revenue targets for various general insurance products (e.g., Fire, Marine, Property, Health, Motor, Liability, etc.).
- Conduct client meetings to understand insurance requirements and provide suitable solutions.
- Coordinate with underwriters and operations teams for policy issuance, renewals, and claims support.
- Maintain relationships with existing clients to ensure renewals and cross-selling opportunities.
- Prepare and present sales proposals, quotations, and product presentations.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and suggest strategic actions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, IRDAI regulations, and other statutory guidelines.
- Regularly update CRM/sales tracker with accurate data on leads, meetings, and closures.
- Key Skills & Competencies: Strong knowledge of General Insurance products (commercial and retail lines).
- Experience in handling SME clients and corporate accounts.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
- Goal-oriented with strong business acumen and analytical ability.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
