Role Overview:
We seek an experienced Level 3 Network Engineer with expertise in SD-WAN (Cisco Viptela), Cisco DNA Center (DNAC), and Routing/Switching. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing enterprise network solutions, ensuring high availability, security, and performance across global infrastructures.
Key Responsibilities:
SD-WAN & Network Implementation:
Design, deploy, and manage Cisco Viptela SD-WAN solutions across enterprise environments.
Configure and troubleshoot SD-WAN edge devices, control plane components, and templates.
Optimize SD-WAN policies, security, and application-aware routing to enhance performance.
Cisco DNA Center (DNAC):
Implement and manage Cisco DNAC for automation, network assurance, and policy-based segmentation.
Leverage DNAC for network monitoring, telemetry, and AI-driven insights.
Automate network provisioning and configuration management using Cisco DNAC APIs.
Routing & Switching:
Manage and troubleshoot complex routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and network infrastructures.
Configure and optimize Layer 2/Layer 3 switching, VLANs, STP, and EtherChannel.
Perform network migrations, upgrades, and hardware refreshes as required.
Operations & Troubleshooting:
Act as an escalation point for L2/L3 network issues, providing expert troubleshooting and resolution.
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure minimal downtime and optimal network performance.
Analyze network performance, conduct root cause analysis, and implement proactive solutions.
Documentation & Knowledge Sharing:
Create and maintain detailed network diagrams, runbooks, and technical documentation.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives within the team.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
7+ years of experience in enterprise networking, with expertise in SD-WAN (Cisco Viptela), Cisco DNAC, and Routing/Switching.
Strong understanding of WAN/LAN architectures, MPLS, VPN, QoS, and cloud connectivity.
Hands-on experience with Cisco ISR/ASR routers, Catalyst/Nexus switches, and wireless controllers.
Proficiency in network automation (Python, Ansible, REST APIs) is a plus.
Excellent troubleshooting skills using network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Wireshark, NetFlow).
Strong documentation and communication skills.
Certifications (Preferred):
CCNP Enterprise / CCNP Data Center
Cisco SD-WAN Specialist (Preferred)
CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure (Nice to have) (1.) To adhere to quality standards, regulatory requirements and company policies (2.) To ensure positive customer experience and CSAT through First Call Resolution and minimum rejected resolutions / Reopen Cases (3.) To participate or contribute on EN business in creation of proposals to drive Service improvement plans. (4.) To independently resolve tickets & esnure that the agreed SLA of ticket volume and time are met for the team. (5.) To provide support for on call escalations /L3 level support and doing incident & problem management (6.) Work on value adding activities such Knowledge base update & management, Training freshers, coaching analysts & conducting interviews/participation in hiring drives.
