Job Description


Basic Function


This role is primarily responsible for processing transactions as per the SLA metrics defined by the client.




Essential Functions


  • Ensure that the transactions processed are as per standard operating procedures available on client learning management system. 
  • Ensure that the assigned targets in accordance with the SLA metrics are met
  • Ensure that the quality of the transactions is in compliance with predefined parameters as per SLA metrics 
  • Provide relevant data to supervisors on a daily basis to measure performance at an individual and process level



Primary Internal Interactions


  • Assistant Manager - Operations for the purpose of reporting performance, clarifying concerns, and seeking feedback and support.
  • Manager for the purpose of resolving any outstanding issues left unaddressed/unsolved 
  • Associates (Team Members) for seeking co-operation and clarification on process related matters and providing support when required.
  • SME/Process trainer for training as and when required.


Primary External Interactions


  • Supervisors at the client end for the purpose of seeking clarifications and answering queries
  • Trainers at the client end for training purposes
  • Communicates internally via written emails and phone calls with onshore supervisors and SMEs on calls 
  • Communicates externally via letters with customers 




Technical Skills


Basic IT

Comfortable working with computers

Typing speed of 30-40 word per minute with 95% accuracy


Usage of MS-Excel, MS Word and Outlook



Process Specific Skills


  • Good English comprehension and writing skills
  • Keyboarding Skills (Typing Skill > 30 wpm & 95% Accuracy).
  • Under general supervision, and in accordance with established policies and 

procedures, collects and/or reconciles group and/or ported account premiums

  • Excellent written communication skills (grammatically and contextually correct) as 

required for sending free form letters to customers and communicating with business partners

  • Good English comprehension skills
  • Basic accounting Skills e.g. Average, %age, ratios, calculations based on 

days/months/year, debit and credit entries, reconciliation and suspense

  • Attention to Detail 


  • Exposure to cash application & reconciliation will be preferred
  • Experience in a back office customer service operations preferably in the US life or health Insurance domain

Education Requirements



  • Any Graduate with minimum 0-6 months of experience in Insurance Back office 


Work Experience Requirements


Preferably experience in Insurance premium application / cash application with knowledge of data handling and analysis in excel
