Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Field Sales Manager to lead our sales team in the [Region Name] territory. In this role, you will manage

and mentor a team of Territory Sales Representatives, driving revenue growth for our [specify: capital equipment/consumables/implants]

portfolio. You will be responsible for developing strategic relationships with key Dental Service Organizations (DSOs), private practices, and

distribution partners, ensuring our solutions are the preferred choice for dental professionals in your region.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Clinical Sales Coaching

 Manage, hire, and develop a high-performing team of [Number] field sales representatives.

 Conduct frequent field "ride-alongs" (3-4 days per week) to coach reps on consultative selling, product demonstrations, and

handling clinical objections from dentists and office managers.

 Ensure team mastery of technical product knowledge, covering clinical workflows and practice ROI.

Territory Strategy & Business Development

 Develop and execute a territory business plan to meet or exceed monthly and annual sales quotas for both capital equipment and

Consumables.

 Identify and cultivate relationships with large group practices (DSOs), dental labs, and key opinion leaders (KOLs) within the

territory.

 Monitor competitor activity and market trends in the dental sector, providing feedback to corporate marketing and product

development teams.

Sales Operations & Distribution

 Manage complex sales cycles for high-value capital equipment, assisting reps in closing deals with financing partners when

necessary.

 Maintain strong working relationships with our dealer/distributor network [e.g., Henry Schein, Patterson, if applicable] to drive

co-marketing and joint sales efforts.

 Ensure accurate utilization of CRM [e.g., Salesforce] for pipeline management, lead tracking from trade shows, and forecasting.

## Qualifications and Skills

 Experience:

o Minimum 5+ years of B2B outside sales experience, with at least 3 years specifically in the Dental or Medical Device

industry.

o Minimum 2 years of experience in a sales management or team lead role.

 Education: Bachelor’s degree required; a background in life sciences or business is preferred.

 Technical Skills:

o Deep understanding of dental practice workflows, terminology, and the competitive landscape.

o Ability to demonstrate complex equipment (e.g., intraoral scanners, imaging units) or explain clinical materials

effectively.

 Attributes:

o Strong "hunter" mentality with a proven track record of growing underperforming territories.

o Excellent presentation skills for conducting "Lunch & Learns" and presenting at local dental society meetings.

o Willingness to travel [e.g., 60%] within the territory, including occasional overnights and attending national dental

trade shows.
