Interior Designer

Key Responsibilities

Design & Planning Support

• Assist in preparing space plans, furniture layouts, and basic interior drawings for government offices/institutions (e.g., admin blocks, cabins, conference rooms, reception, waiting areas).
• Support selection of furniture and finishes as per department requirements, standards, and BOQ.
• Help create 2D drawings (plans/elevations) and basic 3D views as required for presentations/approvals.

Documentation (Govt. Process Friendly)

• Assist in preparing and maintaining project documentation such as:
• BOQ / quantity take-off support (as guided by senior team)
• Item specifications, finish schedules, and submission sets
• Inspection/approval drawings and revision tracking
• Coordinate internal updates for compliance with tender specifications, standards, and timelines.

Site Coordination & Execution Assistance

• Support site visits for measurements, as-built verification, and installation checks.
• Coordinate with production, vendors, and site supervisors for dispatch, installation sequencing, and snag clearance.
• Assist in preparing handover documentation and completion support (as needed).

Communication & Stakeholder Support

• Support senior designers/project managers in coordinating with department representatives, consultants, and contractors for approvals and clarifications.
• Maintain clear records of discussions, changes, and drawings issued.

Required Skills (Must-Have)

• Basic knowledge of space planning, functionality, and office interiors
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (preferred) for 2D drawings
• Knowledge of MS Excel (for BOQ support) and PowerPoint (for presentations)
• Strong attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, and comfort with documentation
• Good communication and ability to work with cross-functional teams

Good to Have

• Basic familiarity with tender/BOQ terminology, specifications, or execution workflow
• SketchUp/3Ds Max/Revit (any) for basic 3D visualization
• Understanding of materials used in government projects (laminates, veneers, fabrics, metal/PU finishes)
• Willingness to travel locally for site work
