Job Description

  • Airline Ticket Agent Responsibilities & DutiesAssist passengers with booking and reserving flights
  • Handle check-in procedures and verify passenger identification
  • Provide information about flight schedules, fares, and regulations
  • Resolve customer inquiries and complaints related to reservations and travel
  • Issue boarding passes and seat assignments
  • Assist with luggage tagging and ensure compliance with baggage regulations
  • Inform passengers of flight cancellations, delays, or changes
  • Coordinate with other airport staff to ensure smooth operations
  • Assist unaccompanied minors and passengers with disabilities
  • Process ticket exchanges, refunds, and upgrades
  • Ensure compliance with airline, FAA, and TSA regulations
  • Maintain knowledge of airport layout and services to provide accurate directions
  • Operate computer systems for ticketing and reservations
  • Prepare daily reports and handle financial transactions
  • Ensure up-to-date knowledge of airline policies and procedures
  • Airline Ticket Agent Qualifications & SkillsPrevious customer service experience
  • Proficiency in multiple languages
  • Familiarity with airline ticketing and reservation systems
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Attention to detail
  • Experience in handling financial transactions
  • Knowledge of airline and TSA regulations
  • Good organizational skills
