Land Surveyor

Key Responsibilities:

1. Site Setting Out

• Mark the building layout on the ground as per the approved drawings.
• Establish grid lines, center lines, and reference points for construction activities.
• Ensure the structure is constructed at the correct location and alignment.

2. Leveling Work

• Check and maintain accurate levels for excavation, foundation, plinth, and slab works.
• Transfer and maintain benchmarks (BM) from reference points to the construction site.

3. Measurement of Work

• Measure completed works such as excavation, PCC, RCC, brickwork, plaster, etc.
• Prepare measurement sheets for billing, verification of quantities, and record keeping.

4. Checking Structural Elements

• Verify column positions, beam alignments, and slab levels as per structural drawings.
• Ensure that all structural elements are executed according to approved plans.

5. Coordination with Site Team

• Coordinate with site engineers, contractors, and architects to ensure accurate implementation of layouts.
• Provide guidance to workers regarding correct layout, dimensions, and positioning.

6. Use of Survey Instruments

• Operate and maintain surveying instruments including:
• Total Station
• Auto Level
• Theodolite
• Measuring Tape

7. As-Built Records

• Prepare and maintain as-built drawings and final site measurements after completion of work.

8. Quality and Accuracy Control

• Ensure there are no deviations from approved drawings and site layouts.
• Maintain proper documentation, records, and survey reports.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Diploma / Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant field.
• Proven experience in construction site surveying.
• Strong knowledge of surveying instruments and measurement techniques.
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain high accuracy in measurements.
• Good coordination and communication skills.
