Position: Manager – HR Managed Services (Employee Offboarding)

Job Summary:

The Manager – HR Managed Services (Employee Offboarding) will lead and manage the end-to-end employee offboarding process for KPMG India. This role ensures seamless execution of offboarding activities, compliance with organizational policies and statutory requirements, and delivery of a positive exit experience for employees. The position requires strong leadership, operational excellence, and continuous improvement to optimize processes and maintain data integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Team Leadership:

  • Lead and supervise the HR Managed Services team handling employee offboarding.
  • Foster a collaborative, customer-centric culture focused on service excellence.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching, and capability building.

2. Offboarding Process Management:

  • Oversee the complete offboarding lifecycle, including resignation acceptance, clearance, documentation, and final settlement coordination.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of exit formalities in line with SLAs and compliance standards.
  • Manage escalations and resolve complex offboarding-related queries.

3. Compliance & Audit:

  • Ensure adherence to company policies, labor laws, and regulatory requirements during offboarding.
  • Maintain accurate records for audits and statutory reporting.

4. Data Management & Reporting:

  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of employee exit data in HR systems.
  • Generate analytics and dashboards on attrition, exit trends, and compliance metrics for leadership review.

5. Process Optimization:

  • Identify gaps and implement process improvements for efficiency and employee experience.
  • Drive automation and best practices in offboarding workflows.

6. Stakeholder Management:

  • Partner with internal teams like Finance, IT, and Facilities for clearance and settlement activities.

7. Technology & Systems:

  • Oversee HRIS and related tools for offboarding transactions and reporting.
  • Ensure system updates and data accuracy for exit processes.

8. Customer Experience:

  • Deliver a positive and professional exit experience for employees.
  • Handle sensitive cases with discretion and empathy.

9. Budget & Resource Management:

  • Manage team resources effectively and ensure cost optimization for offboarding operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 8-10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3-5 years in HR Operations with team handling experience.
  • Strong knowledge of HR processes, compliance, and statutory requirements related to employee exits.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and HR technology platforms.
  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Experience in process improvement and automation initiatives is a plus.
