Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical SolidWorks Designer to join our team and contribute to the design and development of Special Purpose Machines (SPM) specifically focused on ultrasonic washing machines. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical design, particularly in the realm of SPM and ultrasonic cleaning technology, and demonstrate proficiency in using SolidWorks for 3D modelling and design.

Key Responsibilities

1. Mechanical Design:

• Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for ultrasonic washing machines.
• Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks.
• Ensure designs comply with industry standards and specifications.
• Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and simulations to validate designs.

1. Product Development:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical engineers, software developers, project managers) to ensure cohesive product development.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and design reviews.
• Contribute to the development of new features and enhancements for ultrasonic washing machines.

1. Prototyping and Testing:

• Develop prototypes and oversee the manufacturing process.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for component fabrication and assembly.
• Perform tests and evaluations on prototypes to ensure functionality and performance.
• Identify and resolve any design issues or discrepancies during testing.

1. Documentation:

• Create and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including BOMs (Bill of Materials), assembly instructions, and technical specifications.
• Prepare reports summarizing design progress, test results, and project status.
• Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and easily accessible.

1. Project Management:

• Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion within budget.
• Track project milestones and deliverables.
• Communicate project status and updates to stakeholders.

1. Continuous Improvement:

• Stay updated with the latest advancements in ultrasonic cleaning technology and mechanical design.
• Implement best practices and innovative solutions to improve product performance and efficiency.
• Contribute to process improvements within the design and development team.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modelling and design.
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and practices.
• Experience in designing special purpose machines (SPMs) and ultrasonic cleaning systems.
• Familiarity with FEA and simulation tools.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials selection.
• Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably with a focus on SPMs and ultrasonic cleaning machines.
• Proven track record of successful project delivery from concept to production.
• Soft Skills:
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in design work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Time management and organizational skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with other CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, CATIA).
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to ultrasonic cleaning and mechanical design.
• Previous experience in the automotive, medical device, or industrial cleaning sectors.
• Certification in SolidWorks (e.g., CSWP, CSWE).
