The Opportunity 

Structured Content is at the heart of the engines powering the new age Experiences such as Chatbots, Voice Based Devices, Fluid and Omni-Channel content delivery. In Technical Communication group of Adobe, we are developing a new age Component Content Management System which powers the journey of Structured Content for large enterprises. Scale and efficiency are key here. Millions of documents are published regularly to multiple platforms and channels across the industry using this solution. We have a strong vision and we are looking for a highly motivated, technically driven and hands on leader to realize it for our product. 

 

About the Team:  

AEM Guides is a new age technology CCMS. It is used by Fortune-500 companies which publish millions of documents regularly using this product. It is a unique opportunity to work in a startup like environment within a large organization where all product functions collaborate closely with the business counterparts and with the large enterprise customers. Given the enterprise business domain and the startup nature of the team, we are growing fast and scaling the product scope and customer base at a very rapid pace. 

 

The Challenge 

As a Computer Scientist, you will be responsible for the end-to-end development of complex product features. Your role will focus on: 

 

• Feature Ownership: Lead the implementation of robust, scalable features within Adobe Experience Manager (AEM). 

• System Integration: Ensure seamless interaction between frontend components and backend services, maintaining high performance and reliability. 

• Problem Solving: Develop efficient algorithms to solve complex data-handling problems within the CCMS. 

• Technical Excellence: Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code that adheres to Adobe’s high architectural standards. 

• Collaboration: Work with Senior Architects to translate high-level designs into technical realities. 
  

Roles & Responsibilities: 

This is an individual contributor position. Expectations will be on the below lines: 

• Design & Development: Translate product requirements into technical designs and high-quality code. 

• Full Lifecycle Engineering: Own all phases of the engineering process: from technical specs and development to unit testing, automation, and deployment. 

• Peer Mentorship: Participate in code reviews and provide technical guidance to junior developers. 

• Communication: Build technical documentation and prototypes to communicate ideas effectively across the team. 

• Production Support: Help resolve complex production issues and implement long-term fixes. 

• Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Product Management and Quality Engineering to deliver features on time. 
  

Required Skills & Expertise: 

Experience: 1.5–3.5 years of experience in professional software development (ideally in product-based companies). 

Core CS Fundamentals: Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns. 

Frontend Mastery: Deep expertise in React.js (preferred), Angular, or Vue.js, along with state management (Redux or MobX). 

Modern JS: Proficient in TypeScript and JavaScript (ES6+). 

Performance: Experience in frontend optimization (lazy loading, code splitting, asset minimization) and tools like Webpack or Lighthouse. 

API Knowledge: Strong understanding of RESTful APIs integration. 

Testing: Hands-on experience with testing frameworks like Jest, Cypress, or Mocha. 

Standards: Solid understanding of responsive design and accessibility standards (WCAG). 

Soft Skills: Ability to work in an agile, ambiguous environment; excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

Education: B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science or a related field. 

 

Architectural Skills 

• Modular Design: Experience building reusable component libraries using Storybook. 

• CI/CD: Familiarity with modern deployment pipelines and Jenkins/GitHub Actions. 

• Monitoring: Exposure to application monitoring tools like Sentry, New Relic, or Adobe Analytics.
