Operations Manager (Transport & Logistics)

 

Position: Operations Manager

Location: Head Office – Noida (With travel across Delhi NCR to Uttarakhand branches)

Department: Operations / Branch Coordination

Reporting: Mr. Sanjay Dhar (Operations Head)

Industry: Transport & Logistics

Experience Required: Minimum 5–6 years in the transportation/logistics sector

Employment Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:

As an operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and improving branch-level operations across multiple locations. Your primary focus will be to ensure daily operational efficiency, compliance, and seamless coordination across branches.

Daily Branch Activities Oversight:

A.      Ensure cleanliness, system functionality, and camera/printing equipment are operational.

  1. Monitor stock tally in godown and report discrepancies.
  2. Oversee daily loading/unloading activities and calculate vehicle turnaround time.
  3. Review previous day bookings and ensure collection reconciliation.

Branch Operations & Coordination:

A.      Visit branches regularly across Delhi NCR and Uttarakhand for performance monitoring.

  1. Evaluate and fix roles/responsibilities of branch staff.
  2. Provide hands-on support in improving delivery efficiency and resolving local challenges.
  3. Track and optimize vehicle loading patterns and delivery timelines.

Reporting & Documentation:

A.     Prepare and analyse daily pickup and delivery reports.

  1. Maintain accurate Material Delivery Reports (MDR) and to-pay collection summaries.
  2. Monitor and control branch-level expenses.

Training & Supervision:

A.      Conduct software training sessions for branch staff.

  1. Understand and streamline daily activities at each branch.
  2. Guide team members on process improvements and customer coordination for stock clearance.

 

Candidate Requirements:

Experience: Minimum 5–6 years in the transport/logistics line (mandatory)

Skills:

A.      Strong command of MS Excel (Advance level preferred)

  1. Good knowledge of transport operations, vehicle routing, and branch coordination
  2. Strong leadership and communication skills

Other Requirements:

  1. Own two-wheeler or car with valid driving license (mandatory)
  2. Willingness to travel daily across multiple branches as needed
  3. Ability to work under pressure and meet operational deadlines
