PCB Design Engineer

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled PCB Design Engineer with around 2 years of experience in schematic capture and PCB layout design. The ideal candidate will be responsible for translating circuit designs into high-quality PCB layouts while ensuring signal integrity, manufacturability, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design and develop PCB layouts for analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits

2. Create and maintain schematics and component libraries

3. Work closely with hardware design engineers to understand design requirements

4. Perform component placement and routing for multi-layer PCBs

5. Ensure adherence to design rules, signal integrity, and EMI/EMC guidelines

6. Generate manufacturing outputs (Gerber, BOM, assembly files)

7. Coordinate with fabrication and assembly vendors for board production

8. Support debugging and design improvements based on test results

Required Skills & Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Electronics / Electrical Engineering or related field

2. ~2 years of experience in PCB design and layout

3. Proficiency in PCB design tools (Altium Designer, KiCad, OrCAD, Eagle, etc.)

4. Strong understanding of PCB stack-up, routing techniques, and grounding

5. Knowledge of high-speed signals, impedance control, and differential routing

6. Experience with schematic capture and library management

7. Familiarity with design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA)

Preferred Skills

1. Experience with multi-layer and high-density PCB designs

2. Exposure to high-speed interfaces (USB, DDR, Ethernet, HDMI, etc.)

3. Knowledge of power integrity and thermal considerations

4. Familiarity with EMI/EMC best practices

5. Experience working with fabrication and assembly vendors
