Responsibilities

Team Leadership

• Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams (MS SQL Database developers, ETL, Reporting, Data Analytics, Integration) fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment

• Provide direction, support, and coaching to team members, empowering them to achieve project goals and deliverables

• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the project team.

Project Management

• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure on-time delivery

• Track and Analyze data and reporting platform support metrics to report the leadership and identify areas of improvement

• Implement quality assurance processes and conduct regular reviews to identify and address any issues or deviations.

• Facilitate the deployment and release management processes, coordinating with relevant teams to ensure smooth delivery

• Prepare PPTs & present in Governance reviews – WSR, Mid PI review etc.

• Proficient in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., Jira, Microsoft Project)

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of data engineering concepts, including data modeling, ETL processes, data warehousing, and data pipelines

• Utilize expertise in data engineering concepts (MS SQL,SSIS,SSRS, BI Reporting,T-SQL methodologies, and technologies to drive project success.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to project team members, ensuring alignment with best practices and standards.

• Stay updated with the latest advancements in data engineering and recommend innovative solutions to enhance project outcomes.

• Oversee data platform incident management process and ensure effective communication during outages

• Develop and implement Knowledge base artifacts and other resources for Data & BI applications.

Stakeholder Management:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define scope, objectives, and success criteria

• Communicate project status, risks, and dependencies effectively to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.

• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution and resolve conflicts.

Minimum Qualifications / Skills

• experience in a similar role designing and leading complex data-related projects with enterprise-scale data.

• Proven experience leading and managing a team of data engineers.

• Strong understanding of data warehousing, data pipelines, and data modeling concepts.

• Experience with Cloud Platforms.

• Proficiency in SQL/PLSQL, DBT, Snowflake etc.

• Experience with one of the visualization tools, e.g. Tableau, Power BI or Cognos is preferred.

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

Excellent understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.

• Excellent presentation and communication skills
