Inviting applications for the role of Principal Consultant - Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Data Engineer

In this role, Genpact is seeking an experienced and dynamic GCP Data Engineer to join our team. As a GCP Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing data solutions on the Google Cloud Platform. This role requires a strong foundation in data engineering, cloud technologies, and hands-on experience with GCP services.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Data Architecture: Design and implement scalable and efficient data architectures on Google Cloud Platform to meet business and project requirements.
2. GCP Implementation: Lead the implementation of data solutions using GCP services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataprep, and others to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
3. Data Integration: Develop and maintain robust data integration processes, ensuring seamless data flow across various systems and platforms.
4. ETL Processes: Design and implement ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data into GCP, ensuring data quality and accuracy.
5. Performance Optimization: Identify and address performance bottlenecks, troubleshoot data-related issues, and implement optimizations to enhance overall system performance.
6. Data Security and Governance: Implement data security measures and ensure compliance with data governance policies and standards.
7. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders, to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions.
8. Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data architectures, processes, and best practices.

Qualifications we seek in you!

Minimum Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
2. Expertise in data engineering with a focus on Google Cloud Platform.
3. Strong hands-on experience with GCP services such as Big Query, Dataflow, Dataprep, etc.
4. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, or Java.
5. Experience with data modelling, ETL processes, and data integration.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
