Production Manager

The Production Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling manufacturing processes to ensure products are produced efficiently, on time, within budget, and as per quality standards. The role involves managing production teams, optimizing processes, and ensuring safety and compliance in a hardware manufacturing environment.

• Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, organize, and control daily production activities to meet targets
• Ensure production schedules are met with optimal use of manpower, machines, and materials
• Monitor production processes and implement continuous improvement initiatives
• Coordinate with Procurement, Quality, Maintenance, and Logistics teams
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and reduce rejection and rework
• Manage production costs and improve operational efficiency
• Implement and monitor safety, health, and environmental (SHE) standards
• Handle manpower planning, training, and performance management of production staff
• Troubleshoot production issues and minimize downtime
• Maintain production records, reports, and MIS
• Support new product development and process improvement initiatives

• Required Skills & CompetenciesStrong knowledge of hardware manufacturing processes
• Experience in production planning and control (PPC)
• Familiarity with quality systems and lean manufacturing practices
• Ability to manage teams and handle shop-floor operations
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Knowledge of safety and statutory compliance
• Good communication and leadership skills

• Educational QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering
• Diploma candidates with strong experience may also be considered

• Preferred ExperienceExperience in hardware, metal fabrication, or industrial manufacturing
• Exposure to ERP/MRP systems
• Experience handling audits and quality certifications
