Sales Merchandiser

Role OverviewWe are hiring a hands-on Export Business Development Manager who can own international buyers end-to-end — from first contact to repeat shipments.

This is a merchant + sales leadership role, not a desk-sales job.

You will work directly with management and gradually build and lead a small BD team.

• Key Responsibilities1. Export Sales & Business Development
• Manage the complete export sales cycle: lead → sampling → costing → PO → shipment
• Develop and grow relationships with international B2B buyers
• Identify new export opportunities via fairs, portals, references, and outreach
• Understand buyer needs and convert them into executable product briefs
• 2. Client Communication & Account Management
• Handle daily communication with buyers in Europe, USA & Middle East
• Manage negotiations, follow-ups, timelines, and expectations professionally
• Act as the single point of contact for key accounts
• 3. Sampling & Merchandising Coordination
• Coordinate with design, sampling, production, and QA teams
• Ensure samples are developed, costed, approved, and shipped on time
• Track sample feedback and revisions systematically
• 4. Sales Systems & Pipeline Management
• Maintain a clear sales pipeline & CRM
• Track leads, sampling status, conversions, and repeat orders
• Support management with sales forecasts and growth insights
• 5. Export Documentation SupportCoordinate on POs, Proforma Invoices, LCs, shipping documents
• Ensure smooth handover between BD, merchandising, and logistics
• 6. Team Building (Future Responsibility)Hire and mentor 2–3 junior BD / merchant executives
• Set processes, targets, and accountability frameworks
• Who Should ApplyMust-Have3–5 years experience in export sales / export merchandising
• (Textiles / Garments / Home Furnishing / Soft Goods preferred)
• Proven exposure to international B2B buyers
• Excellent English communication (written + verbal)
• Highly organized, systematic, and detail-oriented
• Comfortable with long sales cycles and follow-ups
• Nice to HaveExperience working with buyers, buying houses, or global retailers
• Exposure to trade fairs (India or overseas)
• Understanding of costing, margins, and factory coordination
