About Global Delivery Services
Global Delivery Services refers to EY's worldwide network of service delivery centers. The GDS team plays an important role in EY’s strategy by ensuring effective support to EY’s growth agenda.
Our journey started in 2002 with approximately 200 people. Today we stand at 80,000+ professionals in ten locations around the world. We operate in Argentina, China, Hungary, India, Philippines, Poland, Sri Lanka, Mexico, Spain and the United Kingdom.
Client service is focused on providing Consulting, Assurance, Tax, Strategy & Transactions, and Knowledge support to our clients around the world. The teams enable account teams worldwide to provide seamless, high-quality, value-added support, helping deliver exceptional client service.
Enablement Services provides cost-effective, high-skilled, and innovative services to support EY’s global and local enablement teams. Markets, BMC, AWS, Finance and Accounting, Risk Management, Procurement, People Shared Services, IT Service Delivery and IT Global Infrastructure services, are among the services offered by Enablement Services.
Our innovation specialists serve the GDS Client Service and Enablement Services teams, along with Service Lines, Core Business Services and Sectors. The team brings the desired environment, technologies and skilled teams together for facilitation, rapid prototyping and innovative thinking. The competencies offered include analytics, digital, user experience, mobile technology, infrastructure, Microsoft technologies and open innovation.
The Opportunity
As stated above this is a critical leadership role for our business and much required to shape the growth of the SAP technology practice. As the business becomes larger and more dynamic the role will continue to evolve and also expand into newer areas in the remit of overall operations.
The critical element of this leadership position within GDS SAP team is to have the track record of managing complex array of programs to drive the GDS SAP growth agenda through FY 26. In addition to the excellent program management skills, the SAP ED is expected to demonstrate the following key attributes:
- Demonstrating strong SAP technology acumen to establish credibility with Area / Regional market leaders in SAP
- Designing and executing the blueprint for hyper growth in all relevant areas within SAP to achieve the desired target
- Jointly building SAP asset base with area (e.g. Americas) leadership to demonstrate differentiation in the marketplace
- Demonstrate thought leadership by active participation in SAP forums like SAPPHIRE and TechEd
- Building the SAP brand for EY in the large talent pools like India, Manila, Poland etc.
Other elements that the ED is expected to influence include the following;
- Identifying and hyper-growing the addressable SAP market along with regional leaders globally
- Consistently embedding GDS into the regional SAP opportunities and new solution creation
- Oversee GDS service delivery across engagements for an area e.g. EMEIA, Americas and APAC
- Delivery Quality and Industrialization agenda across all locations
Your Key Responsibilities
This is a critical leadership role for our business and much required to shape the growth of the Enterprise Applications technology practice. As the business becomes larger and more dynamic the role will continue to evolve and also expand into newer areas in the remit of overall operations.
Skills and attributes for success
- Demonstrate industry expertise (deep understanding of the industry, emerging trends, issues/challenges, key players & leading practices)
- Facilitate discussions / knowledge sharing with key client personnel and contribute to EY thought leadership.
- Maintain a strong client focus by effectively serving client needs and developing productive working relationships with client personnel. Stay abreast of current business and economic developments and new pronouncements/standards relevant to the client's business.
- Brief the engagement team on the client's environment and industry trends. Maintain relationships with client management to manage expectations of service, including work products, timing, and deliverables.
- Create innovative insights for clients, adapts methods & practices to fit operational team needs & contributes to thought leadership documents.
- Plan & schedule client engagements. Determine and deploy the right team with adequate skill sets for executing engagements and periodically review status of engagements and work products.
- Review status updates and prepare management presentations/audit committee presentations etc. Actively contribute to improving operational efficiency on projects & internal initiatives.
To qualify for the role you must have
- Good Practice Building experience with a minimum of 18 years of industry experience
- Should understand the various products, platforms, and offerings of the business with special emphasis on SAP suite of Products
- Should have run a practice of over 1800+ people
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Possess high standard of integrity and confidentiality
- Comfortable working in a matrixed organisation with excellent communication and networking skills – able to effectively manage and influence senior leaders as well as a broad range of stakeholders in a global environment
- High level of persistence to overcome resistance and obstacles
- Ability to build and sustain high performing teams in a virtual environment

General and Educational Qualifications / Certifications
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Systems Management, Accounting, Finance, or a related field with 18+ years of experience.
- Graduate from top college known for computer science is a huge plus
