Senior Manager, Finance

We are looking for a Senior Manager- Business Finance to join our FP&A team in Noida. This is an amazing opportunity to support the product team in IP group. We have a great skill set in FP&A and we would love to speak with you if you have skills to support this.

What will you be doing in this role? 

The primary purpose of the role is to be the interface for the Technology FP&A team and the accounting function to ensure the accurate production of the monthly accounts and robust, reliable monthly reporting.

Primary Responsibilities

• Month end

  • Prepayments – ensure that all prepayments on the balance sheet are released correctly and that any new prepayments in the month are adjusted accordingly.

  • Accruals – ensure that all appropriate accruals are made through the standard invoice accrual and incremental accrual processes

  • Liaising with the Accounting Team to ensure that all necessary entries are booked in a timely manner

  • Adhere to timesheet compliance for Tech team to improve capitalisation

  • Review and analyse capitalisation to ensure that there are no material errors

  • Review draft accounts and identifying necessary adjustments

  • Identify the likely landing position for each area within Technology with a clear understanding of key variances to budget / forecast clearly articulated

  • Identify and implement ways in which the quality and timeliness of the accounts can be improved

• Reporting 

  • Prepare monthly reporting packs with commentary for review

  • Prepare monthly capex reporting for IP Tech with analytical explanations.

  • Timesheet reporting to TLT leads and guidance to business to improve capital.

  • Management of new investment case and budget based on hiring strategy.

• Forecast and Budget

  • Support Senior Director and Finance Partner with the production of quarterly forecasts and budgets through the production of standard forecasting templates and providing detailed analysis and clarification as required

  • Uploading the budget/forecast into One stream

  • Managing the budget clearing house process for Technology.

• Financial Control

  • Identify weaknesses in financial control within the area of responsibility and implement appropriate solutions

About the Team   

Part of the wider FP&A group focusing on the Business Partnering as well as financial planning and analysis of IP Group, which is on one of the larger segments among other Clarivate service domain. The team consists of 6 heads and is reporting to the Senior Director-Finance.

Hours of Work  

• This is a full-time role requiring 40 working hours per week based out of Noida, India (IST). Should be flexible to support UK and USA stakeholders.

• Work Mode-Hybrid as per Clarivate location
