Job Description

• Provide technical solutions that meet user needs and improve business performance by assisting with the technical analysis of business requirements, problem solving and troubleshooting as part of a product management team.
• Accountable for ensuring that clear, concise requirements have been captured. Participate in testing and reporting of UAT with internal partners and vendor, reporting defects to vendor ensuring issue resolution, support the implementation check-out process and facilitate the end user communication and training documentation.
• Collaborating across the organization with business, architects, UX designers, product managers and software developers to improve Advisor and client facing tools. Track and evaluate feedback from users for multiple tools.

Job Summary:

We are seeking experienced and strategic Product Managers to join our Product Management team supporting the Ameriprise Brokerage Platform. This team is responsible for driving innovation, enhancing advisor and client experiences, and ensuring the platform remains competitive, compliant, and operationally efficient. You will collaborate cross-functionally to develop and manage platform features, tools, and services that support our financial advisors and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support strategic initiatives to enhance the Ameriprise Brokerage Platform, including new product development, platform enhancements, and advisor tools.
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for brokerage products and services across cross-functional projects.
  • Partner with internal teams (Technology, Operations, Compliance, Legal, Marketing, Training) and external vendors to deliver platform improvements.
  • Analyze platform usage, advisor feedback, and industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation and optimization.
  • Drive the development and implementation of platform features that improve advisor efficiency, client satisfaction, and firm revenue.
  • Manage product lifecycle activities including roadmap planning, feature prioritization, and performance tracking.
  • Ensure platform compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Perform UAT Testing for the capabilities of brokerage platform.
  • Provide training, demos, and support to advisors and field leaders as needed.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and Investment Optimization (I/O) funding requests.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field.
  • 4-7 years of experience in financial services, preferably in product management or platform development.
  • Strong understanding of brokerage operations, trading systems, and advisor workflows.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience working with third-party vendors and managing platform enhancements.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working with the following tools: JIRA, Morningstar Advisor Workstation
  • Experience with AdTrax submissions
  • Experience with vendor management
  • Experience with market data / exchange data
