Systems Support Senior Analyst

 

Duties:

• Create technology roadmaps and have technical ownership on Unix platforms

• Work on projects related to Unix technologies

• Automate Linux and Unix related activities

• Present evidence and artifacts and generate SOP's for Infrastructure audits

• Capable of implementing industry standards for Unix environments

• Perform installation, customization and maintenance of the RHEL operating system and system software products in support of business processing requirements. Evaluates and integrates new operating system versions, drivers and hardware.

• Provide technical expertise for system transitions, migrations and consolidations.

• Test software updates and patches.

• Monitor and fine tune the system to achieve optimum performance levels in standalone and multi-tiered environments.

• Conduct system analysis, configuration management and develops improvements for system software performance, availability and reliability.

• Perform incident resolution, problem determination and root cause analysis in accordance with Service Level Agreements.

• Design, develop, recommend and implement new or revised system software, utilities and automated processes as necessary.

• Provide in-depth diagnosis for operating systems software/hardware failures and develops solutions.

• Ensure server data integrity by evaluating, implementing and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions.

• Implement appropriate levels of system security.

• Present problem analysis and recommended solutions in a creative and logical manner.

• Forecast, models, and utilizes advanced analytical tools.

• Create new procedures and processes to drive desired results.

• Identify opportunities for process and procedure enhancements to drive efficiency and customer service levels.

• Anticipate and prevent potential problems.

• Independently develop solutions that are thorough, practical, and consistent with functional or customer objectives.
