About this opportunity:

At Technology Demonstration Unit (TDU) we are continuously enabling engaging, interactive, and immersive technology showcase and demo platforms which reinforce Ericsson’s thought leadership and support sales growth. As a team you will get a first-hand experience to work with demo development around technologies like 5G & IoT use cases, Industry 4.0, Digital twins, Robots, AI, AR/VR/MR/Gaming etc. International travel for customer engagements for advanced technology showcase will also be necessary.

The position is based out of Gurugram, India and part of the Technology Engineering and Development teams based out of Sweden & India.

What you will do:

• Contribute to relevant technology demonstration development for positioning in key global flagship events.
• Adapt to agile and SAFe ways of working with HQ team in Sweden.
• During customer engagements both in multi-country events and Ericsson Studio India as an expert business builder. Bring fresh ideas and innovation to the team applying Design Thinking Concepts.
• As a developer in the field of XR, the expectation is that you will help develop, troubleshoot, and support with applications or experiences in wider fields such as learning solutions, healthcare, enterprise and more.
• Since Extended Reality (XR) is still maturing and there are many people experiencing and adopting it for the first time, it is important that as an XR developer you can make these design experiences as accessible as possible.
• Support with coding and design for ongoing strategic projects which involve research prototypes like remote controlled vehicles, 5G connected drones, Robots etc.
• Work closely with Global cross-functional teams for future technology showcase. These technology demos are used to reinforce Ericsson thought leadership and vision towards a mobile-first world powered by Cloud and AI.
• Experiment, compare, analyze, maneuver and innovate with different tools, development kits, gadgets and platforms like – GoogleAR Core, Apple AR Kit, Oculus rift, Microsoft Holo Lens, Samsung Gear VR, HTC Vive, Playstation VR etc.
• Develop, build unique experiences with Unity, Unity3D, Vuforia, Unreal Engine, Apple Game Kit, Matterport, Mozilla Hubs, Facebook Horizon, Altspace VR.
• Perform continuous analysis and requirement handling, participate in pre-studies and feature systemization as needed.
• Develop flowcharts, layouts, and documentation to identify requirements and solutions.
• Document and maintain software functionality.
• Execute full software development life cycle (SDLC).

The skills you bring:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in IT or software engineering with specialization in XR or Gaming or AI.
• Exposure to platforms like AR/VR Engines, Web3, Unity, Unreal, Vuforia, ROS  2 etc.
• 2 to 4 years of work experience within Software /Telcom / IT with UX Design or XR or Gaming or AI.
• Conversant with various generations of mobile technology like 4G and 5G.
• Hands on experience on C++, C#, Python, Perl, PHP etc.
• Platform knowledge will be good - Google AR Core, Apple AR Kit, Meta Horizon OS, Microsoft Holo Lens, Samsung Gear VR, HTC Vive etc.
• Conversant with Shell (Linux) scripting skills, Linux & Window Administration are good to have.
• Exposure working in technology labs or customer demo experience centers will be an added advantage.
• Hands-on experience with different technologies and keen to learn new technologies.
