Transport Manager

Job Overview:We are looking for an experienced and responsible Transport Manager to manage our fleet of oil and chemical tankers end-to-end. The candidate should have strong operational, financial, and technical knowledge of tanker transportation.

• Key Responsibilities:Manage complete fleet operations (A–Z) of oil & chemical tankers
• Ensure timely vehicle placement, dispatch, and delivery
• Monitor and control transport margins, costs, and profitability
• Handle vehicle maintenance, servicing, and breakdown management
• Track fuel consumption, driver performance, and route efficiency
• Maintain proper documentation (RC, insurance, permits, pollution, etc.)
• Manage and coordinate with drivers, vendors, and clients
• Handle daily operational challenges and ensure smooth logistics flow
• Financial & System Responsibilities:Maintain records of expenses, diesel usage, and trip-wise costing
• Work on accounting software like Tally
• Track payments, receivables, and transport billing
• Prepare reports for management (profit/loss, cost analysis, etc.)
• Requirements:Minimum 3 years of experience in oil & chemical tanker transport
• Strong understanding of tanker operations and safety standards
• Experience in fleet management, maintenance, and logistics planning
• Knowledge of accounting, costing, and margin calculation
• Hands-on experience with Tally or similar software
• Good communication and team management skills
• Ability to handle pressure and solve real-time operational issues
• Preferred:Experience in handling a large fleet
• Basic technical understanding of tanker structures and safety norms

Salary:As per experience + performance-based incentives
