Job Title: Continental Cook

Department: Kitchen / Food Production

Reports To: Head Chef / Kitchen Manager

Location: GADIMOGA,KAKINADA(ANDHRA PRADESH)

Job Summary

The Continental Cook is responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting a variety of continental dishes while maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, and kitchen efficiency. The role requires expertise in international cuisines, consistency in taste, and adherence to company SOPs.

  • Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and cook continental dishes such as soups, sauces, salads, grills, pasta, and bakery items.
  • Ensure proper mise en place before service.
  • Maintain consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation.
  • Follow standard recipes and portion control guidelines.
  • Ensure food is prepared in a timely manner as per service requirements.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene as per food safety standards.
  • Monitor stock levels and inform the supervisor for replenishment.
  • Proper storage and handling of raw materials (FIFO method).
  • Minimize wastage and control food cost.
  • Assist in menu planning and new dish development (if required).
  • Coordinate with other kitchen staff for smooth operations.
  • Skills & RequirementsProven experience as a Continental Cook or similar role.
  • Knowledge of continental cuisines (Italian, French, Mediterranean, etc.).
  • Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards (FSSAI compliance preferred).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good teamwork and communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and tools.
  • Educational QualificationDiploma / Certificate in Hotel Management or Culinary Arts (preferred).
  • Relevant work experience may substitute formal education.
  • Experience2–5 years of experience in continental cuisine (hotel, restaurant, or catering industry).
  • Working ConditionsRotational shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Standing for long hours in a hot kitchen environment.
