Position Title: GST Litigation Associate

Firm Type: Indirect Tax Advisory & Litigation

Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven professional to join our GST litigation team. The candidate will assist in representing clients in GST disputes, preparing legal submissions, and managing interactions with tax authorities across various forums.

Qualifications

• LLB or Chartered Accountant (CA) or CS/CMA
• 0–5 years’ experience in GST litigation, audit, or tax advisory
• Freshers with strong academic credentials may also apply for junior positions

Key Responsibilities

• Draft replies to show-cause notices (SCNs), demand orders, and appellate submissions under GST law
• Assist in the preparation of writ petitions, advance ruling applications, and legal opinions
• Interpret key statutory provisions (CGST Act, Customs Act, etc.) and update case law database
• Represent clients in discussions before departmental officers and assist senior counsel in tribunal matters
• Liaise with clients for documentation, case facts, and hearing coordination

Desired Skills

• Proficiency in legal drafting using MS Word and formatting tools
• Strong analytical skills and command over statutory interpretation
• Ability to summarize legal issues clearly and concisely
• Familiarity with GSTN portal, judicial databases, and compliance trackers
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
