Debt Recovery Specialist

Job Summary:We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Debt Recovery Executive to manage overdue accounts and ensure timely collection of outstanding debts. The role involves contacting clients, negotiating repayment plans, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with legal and organizational policies.

• Key Responsibilities:Contact customers via phone, email, or in person to follow up on overdue payments.
• Negotiate repayment terms and settlement plans within company guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records of communications and recovery status.
• Monitor debtor accounts to identify outstanding debts and potential risks.
• Prepare reports on collection activities, payment status, and recovery progress.
• Escalate unresolved cases to legal or management teams when necessary.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients while ensuring firm recovery practices.
• Ensure compliance with debt collection laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Skills & Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
• Proven experience in debt recovery, collections, or a similar role.
• Strong negotiation, persuasion, and communication skills.
• Ability to handle difficult conversations professionally.
• Knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory frameworks.
• Proficiency in MS Office and debt management software.
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
