QC Chemist

Job Summary:The QC Chemist will be responsible for ensuring the quality, safety, and compliance of homeopathic raw materials, intermediates, and finished products in accordance with GMP, AYUSH, and pharmacopoeial standards. The role involves analytical testing, documentation, and continuous monitoring of manufacturing quality.

• Key Responsibilities:Perform quality control testing of:
• 
  
• Homeopathic raw materials (mother tinctures, dilutions, excipients)
• In-process samples
• Finished products (liquid, globules, tablets, etc.)
• Conduct organoleptic, physical, and chemical tests as per:
• 
  
• Homoeopathic Pharmacopoeia of India (HPI)
• GMP & AYUSH guidelines
• Maintain and update QC documentation, including:
• 
  
• Test reports
• Batch analysis records
• Stability data
• SOPs and logbooks
• Ensure calibration and proper maintenance of laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Monitor environmental conditions in QC and production areas.
• Investigate out-of-specification (OOS) results and support corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Coordinate with Production and QA teams to ensure batch release compliance.
• Ensure proper handling, labeling, and storage of reference standards, reagents, and samples.
• Support internal and external audits, inspections, and regulatory compliance.
• Qualifications & Experience:Education:
• 
  
• B.Sc./M.Sc. in Chemistry
• B.H.M.S. with QC experience (preferred in homeopathic units)
• Experience:
• 
  
• 1–4 years of experience in QC within homeopathic or pharmaceutical manufacturing
• Freshers with relevant training may be considered
• Skills & Competencies:Strong knowledge of homeopathic formulations and pharmacopoeial standards
• Familiarity with GMP, AYUSH, and regulatory documentation
• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
• Good written and verbal communication
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Work Environment:Manufacturing plant and QC laboratory
• May require handling of alcohol-based preparations
