Quality Control (QC) Executive – Perfumery Industry

Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Quality Control Executive for our perfumery manufacturing unit. The candidate should have strong knowledge of perfume raw materials, fragrance evaluation, quality testing, and documentation related to fragrance production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform quality control checks on incoming raw materials, fragrance oils, alcohol, essential oils, and packaging materials.
• Conduct in-process quality inspections during perfume compounding, mixing, filling, and packaging.
• Evaluate fragrance samples for odor consistency, appearance, stability, and product quality.
• Carry out laboratory tests such as density, refractive index, pH, alcohol content, and viscosity.
• Maintain QC documentation, batch records, test reports, and inspection logs.
• Prepare and issue Certificates of Analysis (COA) for finished products.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, SOPs, and industry standards.
• Identify and report deviations, non-conformities, and support corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Production, R&D, Regulatory, and Warehouse teams to maintain product quality.
• Assist in internal and external audits and maintain quality records. ()

Required Skills:

• Knowledge of perfume raw materials and fragrance formulation
• Familiar with IFRA standards and regulatory requirements
• Experience with laboratory instruments (GC, refractometer, pH meter, density meter, etc.)
• Strong documentation and reporting skills
• Good understanding of GMP and quality systems

Qualification:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry / Cosmetic Science / Chemical Engineering
• Experience in the fragrance, flavour, cosmetic, or perfumery manufacturing industry

Preferred:

• Experience in fragrance compounding or sensory evaluation
• Knowledge of quality management systems and audit procedures
