Job Description
- Job Description: L1 WiFi Support Engineer Position Overview We are seeking a proactive and skilled L1 WiFi Support Engineer to provide technical support and troubleshooting for Wi-Fi connectivity, device configuration, and network performance issues. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting expertise, hands on experience with Wi-Fi infrastructure, and excellent communication skills to deliver high quality customer support. Key Responsibilities
- • Customer Support: Address customer inquiries and resolve technical issues related to Wi-Fi connectivity, network performance, and related hardware/software problems, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
- • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve Wi-Fi connectivity issues, weak signals, and performance-related challenges using industry-standard tools and methodologies.
- • Network Monitoring: Proactively monitor Wi-Fi networks to identify potential issues, optimize performance, and ensure high availability.
- • Device Configuration: Assist in setting up and configuring Wi-Fi devices (routers, access points, laptops, smartphones) for seamless connectivity.
- • Escalation & Collaboration: Work closely with L2 Engineers and technical teams to escalate complex issues, providing detailed logs and analysis to support faster resolution.
- • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of support cases, troubleshooting steps, and solutions. Contribute to knowledge base articles for common issues.
- • Network Security: Assist in enforcing Wi-Fi security protocols (WPA/WPA2/WPA3), authentication mechanisms, and intrusion prevention practices.
- • Upgrades: Support firmware and software upgrades for Wi-Fi devices to ensure reliability, security, and optimal performance. Qualifications & Requirements
- • Education: Diploma / Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Relevant certifications (CCNA Wireless, CWNP) preferred.
- • Experience: 1–3 years in Wi-Fi support, troubleshooting, and system support.
- • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax standards, Wi-Fi troubleshooting tools, and experience with Ruckus OME. Familiarity with laptop/server repair is desirable.
- • Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent communication & interpersonal skills, effective time management, adaptability to new Wi-Fi technologies.
- • Languages: English, Hindi (mandatory).
- • Other Requirements: Passport (mandatory), Location: Navi Mumbai (local/nearby candidates preferred). Compensation & Benefits CTC: ₹2,80,000 – ₹3,00,000 per annum
