Executive-Purchase

DIMENSION / SCOPE OF THE JOB:   The Purchasing Executive will support in the purchasing activities for Federal-Mogul Bearings India Ltd. This includes the material, Indirect material, Services, Job Works and Capex Purchases, new improvement and investment project purchase activity .

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITY OF THE POSTION

• Adherence and strengthening of processes and supply directions / strategies across all purchases.
• Effectively manage the procurement activities of the plant ensuring smooth running of the plant, specially for new projects, new capex working with new multiple suppliers.
• New supplier identification, follow up, sending RFQ, invite quotes, discussing on Plant requirement with suppliers, order processing, making proposals for further commercial approvals. 
• Actively participate and take the lead in further improvements of purchasing (GPP and local) and guidelines from an Indirect Purchasing perspective.
• Actively work with the team and other stakeholders and buyers on improving the supply base, spend management, Single source risk mitigation and payment terms.
• Improve suppliers on quality and delivery.
• More towards coordination b/w internal user team for new project and suppliers 
  Effectively daily progress takes up for the localization activities.
• Daily coordination for plating, Irox, AT new manufacturing Equipments
• Ensure purchasing Audit compliance (Quality system, processes and Purchasing Process Controls)

SKILLS PROFILE

• Experience in plant purchasing activity including direct material, indirect material, Capex and Services.
• Supplier negotiations and materials management.
• SAP Functional Knowledge and Project Management.
• Exposure to deal with suppliers, MIS reporting, knowledge of tooling, indirect spare, steel, machine, Equipments
• Teamwork with internal and external stakeholders (user and vendors)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
