Accountant

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accountant to manage financial records, ensure accuracy in reporting, and support compliance with accounting standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of financial principles.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and reports
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Reconcile bank statements and balance sheet accounts
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, and company policies
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation
• File tax returns and assist with tax planning activities
• Monitor financial transactions and resolve discrepancies
• Collaborate with management to support financial decision-making

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS)
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and handle confidential information

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA, ACCA, or equivalent certification
• Experience with ERP or cloud-based accounting systems
• Knowledge of tax preparation and regulatory compliance

Work Environment

• Office-based or hybrid/remote (depending on company policy)
• Standard business hours with periodic deadlines
