Homecare Nurse

Job Summary:

The Homecare Nurse will be responsible for providing professional nursing care to patients in their homes. The role involves delivering holistic care, monitoring health conditions, administering medication, and ensuring patient comfort and safety according to the physician’s plan of care.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide nursing care to patients at home as per the doctor’s or care plan instructions.

Monitor and record patients’ vital signs and overall condition.

Administer prescribed medications and injections safely.

Perform wound dressing, catheterization, IV/IM injections, and other nursing procedures.

Assist with patient mobility, hygiene, and comfort needs.

Educate patients and families on ongoing care, medication, and health maintenance.

Coordinate with doctors, physiotherapists, and caregivers as needed.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.

Follow infection control and safety protocols at all times.

Eligibility Criteria:

Qualification: GNM / B.Sc Nursing

Registration: Must be a registered nurse with State Nursing Council

Experience: Minimum 1–3 years of clinical or homecare experience preferred

Skills:

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Empathy and patience in handling patients and families

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Working Conditions:

Patient home visits as per assigned schedule

Rotational shifts / flexible timing based on patient requirement

Preferred Background:

Experience in ICU, ward, or general nursing setups will be an added advantage.
