Job Description

We are seeking a highly analytical and creative Social Media Marketing Expert with a specialized focus on YouTube growth and audience development for an educational content channel. You will be instrumental in expanding our reach, increasing watch time, and fostering a dedicated community around our valuable educational content. This role requires a deep understanding of YouTube's algorithm, a passion for education, and a proven ability to leverage multi-platform social media strategies to drive traffic and engagement to YouTube.

Key Responsibilities

  • YouTube Strategy & SEO Mastery:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive YouTube content strategy aligned with educational goals, including content calendar planning, topic research, and competitor analysis.
  • Conduct in-depth keyword research for video titles, descriptions, and tags to maximize discoverability and ranking for educational queries.
  • Optimize all video elements (thumbnails, end screens, cards, playlists) for maximum click-through rates and watch time.
  • Analyze YouTube Analytics meticulously to identify growth opportunities, understand audience behavior, and refine content strategy.
  • Audience Engagement & Community Building:
  • Develop strategies to increase subscriber count, video views, and overall channel engagement.
  • Implement community-building tactics, including engaging with comments, running polls, and fostering discussions within the YouTube community tab.
  • Strategize and execute cross-promotion campaigns on other social media platforms (Youtube, Instagram, Facebook) to drive traffic to new and evergreen YouTube content.
  • Content Promotion & Distribution:
  • Craft compelling social media copy and visual assets to promote YouTube videos across various platforms, tailoring content to each platform's unique audience and format.
  • Identify and explore opportunities for collaborations with other educational creators or organizations.
  • Stay abreast of the latest social media trends, platform updates, and best practices for educational content promotion.
  • Performance Analysis & Reporting:
  • Provide regular, data-driven reports on YouTube channel performance, growth metrics, and social media campaign effectiveness.
  • Translate insights from analytics into actionable recommendations for content improvement and audience growth.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and platform changes to ensure our strategy remains cutting-edge.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills (Hard Skills)

  • YouTube Studio Expertise: Deep proficiency in YouTube Analytics, content management, and channel optimization features.
  • Video SEO: Advanced knowledge of YouTube's search algorithm and best practices for optimizing video titles, descriptions, tags, and thumbnails.
  • Social Media Management: Strong command of major social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, Facebook) for content promotion and audience engagement.
  • Content Creation Tools: Familiarity with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Photoshop) for creating compelling thumbnails and social media visuals. Basic video editing knowledge (e.g., CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro) for creating short promotional clips is a plus.
  • Analytics Tools: Experience with Google Analytics and third-party social media analytics tools.
  • AI Tools: Experience utilizing AI for keyword research, content ideation, script outlines, or social media copy generation is a plus.
