Job Description

South Indian Chef (Breakfast & Daily Meals Specialist)We are seeking an experienced and skilled South Indian Chef specializing in authentic South Indian cuisine, primarily for breakfast preparation along with select lunch and dinner dishes. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of traditional recipes, regional flavors, and hygienic cooking practices.

  • Key Responsibilities:Prepare authentic South Indian breakfast items such as idli, dosa (plain, masala, rava), vada, upma, pongal, appam, puttu, and chutneys/sambar.
  • Plan and prepare selected South Indian lunch and dinner dishes including rice varieties, sambar, rasam, poriyal, kootu, avial, curd rice, lemon rice, tamarind rice, and non-vegetarian specialties (if required).
  • Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation.
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and follow food safety standards.
  • Manage grocery requirements and ingredient freshness.
  • Ability to prepare fresh batter and traditional spice blends.
  • Requirements:Proven experience in South Indian cooking (Tamil, Kerala, Karnataka, or Andhra cuisine preferred).
  • Expertise in breakfast preparation is essential.
  • Knowledge of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes (optional, based on requirement).
  • Ability to manage time efficiently for early morning breakfast preparation.
  • Good hygiene and professional attitude.
  • Preferred Qualifications:Previous experience in a restaurant, or catering setup.
  • Understanding of dietary preferences and customization.
  • Flexible and reliable.
