Job Description – Quality Head (Electronic Lighting Industry)

Job Title: Quality Head / Quality Manager

Industry: Electronic Lighting (LED Lights, Drivers, Fixtures, PCB Assembly)

Experience Required: 1–5 Years

Location: Phase 1, MG Road Near Coca cola plant khichra Dhaulana.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Strategy & Leadership

Lead the entire Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) department.

Develop and implement quality systems, SOPs, and inspection standards.

Ensure all production, testing, and inspection processes meet industry standards.

Product Quality Management

Oversee quality of LED drivers, PCB boards, housings, and final lighting products.

Ensure compliance with BIS, ISO, ROHS, and other regulatory standards.

Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections.

Improve product reliability, lumen output standards, and electrical safety.

Supplier & Material Quality

Evaluate and approve suppliers for raw materials such as LED chips, drivers, housings, wire, and SMPS.

Implement supplier audits and ensure adherence to quality norms.

Monitor rejection rate and drive reduction through process improvement.

Testing & Documentation

Oversee testing of lighting products (Hipot test, Drop test, Surge test, Lumen test, Load test).

Maintain detailed documentation: QC reports, CAPA reports, and compliance certificates.

Team Management

Supervise quality engineers, inspectors, and lab technicians.

Conduct regular training sessions for quality & production teams.

Work with R&D and Production teams for continuous improvement.

Customer Quality

Handle customer complaints and conduct root cause analysis.

Provide corrective and preventive action (CAPA) reports.

Ensure enhanced customer satisfaction through quality improvements.

Skills Required:

Strong knowledge of LED lighting components and testing.

Experience in ISO, BIS, ROHS certifications & audits.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong leadership and team-handling capability.
