Accountant

Job OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to manage financial transactions, trip settlements, billing, GST compliance, and vendor/customer ledgers for our logistics operations. The ideal candidate should have experience in accounting within logistics, transportation or related industries.

• Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and manage customer billing, trip invoices and transport challans
• Verify vendor bills (diesel, toll, parking, maintenance, fleet, rentals, etc.)
• Maintain accounts receivable & accounts payable ledgers
• Reconcile diesel, trip expenses, PODs, advance payments & settlements
• Coordinate with the operations team for trip closures and documentation
• Handle GST calculation, data preparation, return workings and filing coordination
• Maintain TDS compliance, invoices & reconciliation
• Prepare monthly MIS reports, balance sheets & cash flow summaries
• Follow up with clients for payments and share statements when required
• Support audits, financial reviews and statutory documentation
• Maintain system entries in accounting and transport software
• Ensure timely closure of books and accurate financial reporting
• Required Skills & Experience2–5 years experience in accounting (Logistics sector preferred)
• Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and basic compliance
• Comfort with accounting software (Tally, Busy, Zoho, or ERP)
• Ability to work with Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot preferred)
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• QualificationB.Com / M.Com / MBA Finance or equivalent
• Additional certification in GST/Accounts is a plus
• Work ConditionsFull-time role (On-site preferred)
• May require coordination with customers and vendors
