Job Description
Job Description
We are hiring an Accountant to handle core bookkeeping, project-wise costing, statutory compliance, customer payment management, and bank/loan tracking for our real estate operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain all ledgers, journal entries, and bank transactions in Tally or relevant accounting software
- Manage accounts for multiple entities (Individuals, Companies, and LLPs) with a master index
- Prepare project-wise cost sheets to track budget vs. actual spending for each construction and land project
- Maintain “Outward Payment” trackers for all material suppliers and labor contractors
- Track customer payment schedules, issue receipts, prepare demand letters for upcoming and overdue installments
- Maintain individual customer ledgers with all payment details and pending dues
- Handle GST and TDS calculation, payment, and filing within legal deadlines
- Monitor RERA-designated bank accounts (70% rule) and prepare data for quarterly RERA filings
- Coordinate with CS/CA for ROC filings and maintain all corporate compliance documents
- Track project loan disbursements, repayment schedules, EMI payments, and bank correspondence
- Assist the Director in preparing project-wise cash flow statements
- Perform weekly bank reconciliations and monthly vendor/party account reconciliations
- Manage payroll, office rents, utility bills, and all overhead payments
- Prepare and organize all bills, vouchers, balance sheets, and ITRs for annual audits
- Maintain both digital and physical archives of all financial documents with a proper indexing system
- Coordinate with the Office Administrator on payment reconciliation, vendor invoice verification, and customer file documentation
Qualifications & Requirements
- B.Com, M.Com, BBA, or equivalent degree in Commerce/Accounting
- 2–4 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a real estate or construction company
- Strong proficiency in Tally ERP/Tally Prime and MS Excel
- Working knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax filing, and ROC compliance
- Ability to manage accounts for multiple entities and projects simultaneously
- Good communication skills in English, Hindi, and Marathi
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet monthly and quarterly deadlines
Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills
- Experience with real estate project accounting and RERA financial compliance
- Familiarity with project finance, construction loan tracking, and bank disbursement processes
- Prior experience handling audits (internal and statutory)
- Knowledge of ROC filings and corporate compliance for LLPs and Companies
- Experience coordinating with CA/CS firms for tax planning and filings
- Familiarity with customer payment tracking and demand letter processes in a builder’s office
