Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Accountant to manage financial operations for our logistics business. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of accounting principles, experience in logistics billing, and the ability to handle high-volume transactions with accuracy.

📌 Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain daily accounting records for transport operations.
• Manage diesel bills, toll/Fastag expenses, trip-wise expenses, and vehicle-wise costing.
• Handle accounts payable and receivable, vendor reconciliation, and follow-up for payments.
• Prepare invoices, debit/credit notes, and ensure timely billing to clients.
• Maintain ledger entries, journals, bank reconciliation, and monthly closing.
• Track trip settlements, driver advances, and fuel consumption records.
• Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, and other statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with the operations team for trip data, PODs, and billing clarifications.
• Prepare reports such as outstanding statements, expense summaries, and profitability sheets.
• Support internal and external audits with accurate documentation.

🎓 Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Commerce (B.Com/M.Com).
• 2–5 years of experience (preferably in logistics or transport industry).
• Strong knowledge of Tally, Excel, and accounting processes.
• Understanding of GST rules and transport-related taxation.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to handle pressure.
