Admission Counsellor

Job Summary

The Admission Counsellor is responsible for guiding prospective students through the admission process by providing accurate information, evaluating applications, and offering counselling support. The role involves promoting academic programs, maintaining strong communication with applicants and parents, and ensuring enrollment targets are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Counsel prospective students and parents on academic programs, admission requirements, and career pathways
• Respond to inquiries via phone, email, online platforms, and in person
• Guide applicants through the admission and enrollment process
• Evaluate applications and verify required documents
• Conduct follow-ups to convert inquiries into confirmed admissions
• Participate in education fairs, open houses, and promotional events
• Maintain accurate student records and update CRM or admission databases
• Coordinate with academic departments and administrative teams
• Meet or exceed admission and enrollment targets
• Provide post-admission support and orientation assistance

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Business, or a related field
• Proven experience in admissions, counselling, sales, or student services (preferred)
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
• Ability to build rapport with students and parents
• Good organizational and time-management skills
• Proficiency in MS Office and CRM systems
• Goal-oriented with a student-focused approach
