Electrical Engineer

Scope of Work

The contractor shall carry out HT (High Tension) and LT (Low Tension) electrical line works including supply, erection, installation, testing, and commissioning as per the approved drawings, specifications, and instructions of the department/engineer.

2. Job Description

A. Survey & Planning

• Site survey and route alignment of HT/LT line.
• Pole spotting and marking as per approved layout.
• Identification of Right of Way (ROW) issues.

B. Pole Erection

• Excavation of pole pits as per standard depth.
• Erection of PCC / RSJ / Steel / Tubular poles.
• Proper alignment, vertical positioning, and concreting of poles.

C. Cross Arm & Hardware Fitting

• Installation of cross arms, clamps, brackets, and other line hardware.
• Fixing of pin insulators, disc insulators, and shackle insulators.

D. Conductor Stringing

• Stringing of HT/LT conductors (ACSR / AAAC / LT AB Cable etc.).
• Proper sagging and tensioning of conductors.
• Jumpering and binding of conductors.

E. Earthing Work

• Installation of earthing sets using GI pipe / plate.
• Connection of earthing wire to poles and equipment.

F. Installation of Electrical Equipment

• Installation of Distribution Transformer (if applicable).
• Installation of Lightning Arresters, GO Switches, DO Fuse units, and other accessories.

G. LT Distribution Work

• Installation of LT AB Cable.
• Fixing of insulation piercing connectors (IPC).
• Service connection arrangements.

H. Testing & Commissioning

• Electrical testing of lines and equipment.
• Rectification of defects if any.
• Charging and commissioning of HT/LT line after approval.
