Solar Technician

Job Description :

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Solar Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in solar energy systems installation, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality workmanship and exceptional customer service. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on residential and commercial properties, including rooftop and ground-mounted installations.
• Perform site assessments to evaluate roof conditions, shading, and other factors that may impact system performance.
• Plan and layout solar array configurations, taking into account local building codes, structural requirements, and customer preferences.
• Install racking systems, solar panels, inverters, and other system components according to manufacturer specifications and industry best practices.
• Conduct electrical wiring and connections, ensuring compliance with NEC and local regulations.
• Test and commission installed systems to verify proper operation and performance.
• Troubleshoot system issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of installation activities, including photos, inspection reports, and as-built drawings.
• Provide technical support and guidance to less experienced installers as needed.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your team.

Requirements :

• Minimum of [2] years of experience installing solar PV systems.
• Strong technical knowledge of solar energy systems, including PV modules, inverters, racking systems, and electrical wiring.
• Experience working with a variety of roofing materials and structures.
• Familiarity with local building codes, electrical codes, and industry standards.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, electrical schematics, and equipment specifications.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work at heights and in various weather condition.
