Job Description
- Key Responsibilities:Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate stock levels of fire equipment components (valves, pipes, extinguishers, sprinklers, cables, etc.)
- Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconcile with system records.
- Maintain minimum & maximum stock levels to avoid shortages or overstocking.
- Material Handling & Storage
- Ensure proper storage and identification of fire safety materials (as per type, make, size, project, etc.).
- Implement FIFO / LIFO systems for material issue.
- Maintain safe and clean storage conditions in compliance with fire and safety norms.
- Receiving & Issuing
- Inspect incoming materials for quality, quantity, and specification compliance.
- Issue materials as per approved material requisition slips.
- Coordinate with the procurement team for timely replenishment.
- Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain GRN (Goods Receipt Note), MRN, Issue Slips, and stock registers (manual/system).
- Update ERP or inventory management software regularly.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports.
- Coordination
- Coordinate with Purchase, Accounts, and Project teams for material planning.
- Assist in logistics arrangements for material dispatch to project sites.
- Compliance & Safety
- Follow safety protocols in handling fire equipment and hazardous materials.
- Ensure all statutory and company-specific documentation is maintained.
- Qualifications & Experience:Education: Diploma / Graduate in Material Management / Commerce / Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience: 3–8 years of experience as Storekeeper / Store Incharge (preferably in Fire & Safety, MEP, or Construction industry).
- Software Skills: ERP / Tally / MS Excel / Inventory Software.
- Key Skills Required:Strong knowledge of fire protection and safety material specifications.
- Inventory control and documentation skills.
- Organizational and time-management ability.
- Team coordination and communication skills.
- Awareness of safety and statutory compliance in storage.
