Video Editor Cum Technical Assistant

Job Summary 

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented “Video Editor/Technical Assistant” to join our team. The Video Editor/Technical Assistant will be responsible for editing high-quality video content, providing technical support for multimedia activities, and assisting in the operation of audio-visual equipment. The role requires creativity, technical proficiency, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Skills/Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, etc.).
• Understanding of camera operations, lighting, and audio recording.
• Basic knowledge of graphic design tools (Photoshop, After Effects – preferred).
• Familiarity with online meeting/webinar platforms.

Roles and Responsibilities / Key Responsibilities:

1. Video Editing & Production·

• Edit raw footage into polished videos using industry-standard editing software.
• Add effects, transitions, subtitles, background music, and graphics as required.
• Ensure final videos meet branding and quality standards.

       Manage and organize video files, storage, and backups.

2. Technical Support·

• Assist in the setup, operation, and troubleshooting of audio-visual (AV) equipment.
• Support live events, webinars, recordings, and presentations.
• Manage lighting, cameras, microphones, and technical arrangements during shoots.

3. Content Creation & Coordination·

• Collaborate with faculty, departments, and creative teams to plan video shoots.
• Support in script preparation, shot planning, and scheduling.
• Capture high-quality video and audio as needed.

4. Equipment Management·   

•  Ensure all multimedia equipment is properly maintained and in working condition.
• Keep inventory of AV equipment and coordinate for repairs or upgrades.

5. Miscellaneous Duties· 

•  Provide technical assistance for digital platforms, LMS, and online sessions if required.
•  Perform any other responsibilities assigned by the department.
