📌 Job Description: Paytm EDC Swipe Machine Executive

Position Summary

The Paytm EDC Swipe Machine Executive is responsible for promoting, selling, installing, and servicing Paytm’s Electronic Data Capture (EDC) swipe machines (POS terminals) to merchants. The role includes merchant onboarding, device activation, training, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

📌 Key Responsibilities

1. Sales & Merchant Acquisition

Identify potential merchants (retailers, restaurants, pharmacies, etc.) for Paytm EDC swipe machines.

Pitch Paytm’s POS/EDC products and explain features, pricing, and benefits.

Meet daily/weekly/monthly sales targets.

2. Merchant Onboarding

Collect KYC documents and complete merchant registration.

Verify merchant details and ensure correct onboarding in the system.

Explain transaction charges, settlement cycles, and features.

3. Device Installation & Training

Install Paytm EDC/POS swipe machines at merchant locations.

Train merchants on how to use the machine including:

Card swipe/tap/dip

QR code payments

Settlement and report viewing

Troubleshooting basics

4. After-Sales Support

Provide basic technical assistance for device issues.

Coordinate with the service/support team for major problems.

Replace faulty devices when needed.

5. Relationship Management

Maintain healthy relationships with assigned merchants.

Address merchant queries promptly.

Encourage merchants to increase transaction volumes.

Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Must be comfortable with field work.

📌 Qualifications

Minimum 12th pass; graduation preferred.

Experience in field sales, POS/EDC sales, or fintech onboarding is an advantage.

Should own a smartphone and (for most jobs) a two-wheeler.

📌 Work Environment

Field job with daily merchant visits.
