Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and responsible OT Technician to assist surgeons and nursing staff during surgical procedures, ensure proper OT preparation, maintain sterilization standards, and support smooth functioning of the Operation Theatre.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operation Theatre Preparation

• Prepare OT before surgeries as per schedule.
• Ensure proper functioning of OT equipment (OT lights, suction machine, cautery, monitors, anesthesia machine).
• Maintain sterile environment inside OT.

2. Surgical Assistance

• Assist surgeons, anesthetists, and OT nurses during procedures.
• Arrange and pass instruments during surgery.
• Ensure availability of emergency drugs and supplies.

3. Instrument & Sterilization Management

• Ensure proper cleaning and sterilization of instruments through CSSD/autoclave.
• Perform instrument counting before and after surgery.
• Maintain sterilization records and logs.

4. Patient Handling & Safety

• Assist in safe shifting and positioning of patients.
• Verify patient identity and consent before procedure.
• Follow OT safety protocols and infection control guidelines.

5. Inventory & Stock Control

• Monitor OT consumables such as gloves, sutures, gauze, catheters, etc.
• Report shortages and expiry issues to supervisor.
• Maintain proper OT stock records.

6. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain OT registers and daily surgery records.
• Record implants and consumables usage.

Eligibility Criteria

• Diploma / Certificate in OT Technology
• Experience: 2–5 years preferred
• Knowledge of sterilization and infection control practices
• Ability to work in emergency situations
• Good coordination and teamwork skills

Working Conditions

• Rotational shifts (Morning / Evening / Night)
• Emergency call availability required
• Weekly off as per hospital policy

Salary

₹ 20,000 to 30,000 per month (Negotiable based on experience)
