Job Description
- Dispensing & Compounding: Accurately filling prescriptions, preparing compounded medications, and labeling medicines.
- Patient Counseling: Advising patients on proper medication usage, potential side effects, dosages, and storage.
- Prescription Review: Checking prescriptions for appropriateness, dosage, and potential drug interactions or allergies.
- Clinical Collaboration: Consulting with physicians and healthcare teams to manage patient drug therapies.
- Inventory Management: Maintaining accurate stock levels, managing controlled substances, and removing expired/damaged items.
- Safety & Compliance: Adhering to federal/state laws (FDA, DEA) and implementing safety protocols.
- Supervision: Overseeing the work of pharmacy technicians and interns.
- Immunizations & Health Services: Administering vaccinations and providing health screenings.
