CNC Machine Operator

A CNC Turning Machine Operator and Programmer sets up, programs, and operates CNC lathes to produce precision metal or plastic parts. Key duties include interpreting technical drawings, writing/editing G-code or CAM programs, setting tools, calibrating machines, and conducting quality inspections. Key Responsibilities

• Programming: Create, edit, and optimize CNC turning programs using G-code or CAM software based on engineering drawings.
• Setup: Prepare, set up, and calibrate CNC lathe machines, including installing tools, tool registers, and setting offsets.
• Operation: Operate turning centers to produce components, including monitoring for malfunctions during operation.
• Quality Control: Use precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers) to inspect parts for adherence to technical drawings and tolerances.
• Maintenance: Perform basic maintenance, such as cleaning, lubricating, and troubleshooting machinery.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proven experience as a CNC Turning
• Strong knowledge of G-code, M-code, and CAM software.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
• Excellent understanding of machining techniques and material properties.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
